It is a deeply personal journey that connects my past, present, and future. My name is Kelly O’Bannon, and I have the honor of serving as the Executive Vice President of Business Development at Midwest Loan Services. Every day, I see how the work we do as a mortgage servicer and a mortgage subservicer impacts lives, providing stability and opportunity for borrowers and clients alike.

My journey into mortgage servicing began in my teenage years, working alongside my father in his file room. He spent over five decades in the industry, and his commitment to excellence shaped my understanding of what it means to be a mortgage servicer. Those early days sorting files and managing customer service tasks taught me the importance of precision, empathy, and dedication—qualities that are at the heart of every successful mortgage servicer.

Unlike many who find their way into the mortgage industry by chance, I chose this path with intention. Starting as a foreclosure specialist during college, I quickly learned how crucial compassionate service is in guiding borrowers through difficult times. Later, in loss mitigation, I experienced firsthand the importance of a mortgage servicer’s role in helping borrowers navigate financial challenges. These roles prepared me for a career dedicated to making a meaningful difference.

Over the past 26 years, I have held leadership positions across mortgage servicing, origination, and investment platforms. Joining Midwest Loan Services was a natural next step because of its reputation as a trusted mortgage servicer and mortgage subservicer. I was drawn to the company’s diverse client base, innovative approach, and unwavering focus on borrower and client satisfaction.

At Midwest Loan Services, my role is centered on helping clients discover how we can meet their unique needs. We provide end-to-end solutions as a mortgage servicer for lenders and as a mortgage subservicer, offering specialized expertise to support other servicers. My responsibilities include developing strategies that enhance borrower experiences and ensure our clients receive exceptional service. It is deeply rewarding to be part of a team that continuously seeks new ways to innovate and improve.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of my job is hearing clients express their appreciation for Midwest Loan Services. Whether it is IT assistance, document management, or report development, our team ensures the transition process is smooth and stress-free for our clients.
